Abstract

BINGO is a 40m radio telescope under construction in Brazil. It is intended to perform 21cm intensity mapping in the frequency range of 980 MHz to 1260 MHz. It will cover about 5000 square degree and detect BAO signal at z=0.13-0.45. I will briefly introduce the idea of 21cm intensity mapping, the progress of BINGO and its scientific implication.

CV

Dr. Jiajun Zhang got his PhD from the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2017, later he did a postdoc at Shanghai Jiao Tong University and a postdoc fellow at Institute for Basic Science in South Korea. He returned to China and joined SHAO in 2021. His research interests are cosmological simulation, large scale structure, 21cm cosmology, SKA cosmic dawn and reionization detection, etc.
